- I lead 4 product managers and 33 advanced development (AD) engineers to plan product roadmaps, platforms, and innovate technologies for Midea/Eureka/Toshiba cleaning robots, stick vacuum and upright vacuums. During my tenure Midea robot’s Chinese domestic market share rose from 0.8% to over 12%. The Eureka E10s robot I initiated is set to be the company's first robot to reach 100k internal sales volume (by July 2024) AND with a net profit. The Eureka W20 robot I sourced and initiated is the world's first crawler-sytle fresh water cleaning robot.

Consulting Product Manager
2022
Midea USA, Remote
- As a PM consultant, I led sprints for customer and technology strategies, competitive strategy, GTM strategy for North America SKUs, and technology road mapping for FY2025 for self-cleaning robotic moppers for B2B and D2C applications.
Product Innovation
2016 - 2021
iRobot, Bedford, MA
- lead continuous hardware and software innovation for the Roomba i3, i7, and 900 series. My work includes interview guidelines brainstorming, user interviews, thematic analysis, competitive benchmarking, prototype building, Agile iterations, UX testing to improve Roombas’ competitiveness and usability.
- I invented the 2.5D anti-wedge bumper (#16/588575) used on all Roombas. It reduces 80% wedging with a $0 BOM increase.
- I worked on Roomba S9, e5, i3, and i7 product development, launch, and quantity ramping with contract manufacturers. Heavy usage of workshop rapid prototyping, 3D CAD modeling with Creo, injection molded part design and DFM/DFA, ANSYS workbench, BOM management with Windchill, ECR/ECN process, and contract manufacturer operations support.
- I co-invented the AeroForce extractors set (#10/595624), which balanced cleanability, cost, manufacturability, noise, durability, and aesthetics. It’s still industry-leading after five years and was a major stake in the iRobot-Ecovas $Xm strategic collaboration.
Product Development Lead, Project Manager
2013 - 2016
SharkNinja, Newton, MA
- As part of the “CORE” team initiative, I worked on the next-gen Shark floorcare and Ninja kitchen products by collaborating with marketing, ID, PM, legal, and contract manufacturers.
- I led the CAE team to optimize the Shark cyclone, wind tunnel performance, Ninja blender cut efficiency, durability, and thermal performance. We optimized Shark part strength, durability, and comfort by ABAQUS FEA and streamlined the testing process to reduce lab test cycles. I co-invented “walking on the cloud” wheels (#16/117934).
